QuVac GmbH is a quantum engineering and technology partner dedicated to enabling next-generation quantum research and innovation. We provide specialized solutions in ultra-high vacuum (UHV/XHV) technology, cryogenic motion systems, precision optics, vibration isolation, and custom scientific instrumentation for applications including quantum optics, trapped-ion quantum computing, neutral-atom platforms, quantum sensing, scanning probe microscopy, and hybrid quantum systems.

Founded by Hai Zhong, QuVac combines more than two decades of experience in advanced scientific instrumentation and quantum technology with a carefully selected international network of technology partners. Our expertise spans ultra-high vacuum environments, cryogenic instrumentation, precision nanopositioning, vibration control, and complex research platforms operating under demanding experimental conditions, including extreme vacuum and millikelvin temperatures.

The name QuVac reflects our mission: Vacuum for Quantum. The QuVac logo embodies this vision. Its six-fold symmetry is inspired by hexagonal optical lattices used in ultracold-atom and quantum simulation experiments, while the dot within the “Q” symbolizes a trapped atom or ion—the fundamental building block of many quantum technologies. Together, these elements represent the intersection of quantum science, precision engineering, and enabling infrastructure that defines our work.

QuVac combines engineering expertise with system-level understanding gained through decades of hands-on experience in advanced quantum experiments. Drawing on extensive work in quantum optics, trapped-ion systems, nanomechanics, NV magnetometry, scanning probe microscopy, cryogenic instrumentation, and vibration-sensitive experimental platforms, we help customers identify, evaluate, and integrate the technologies best suited to their scientific and technical challenges. Our experience includes the development of ultra-low-vibration research platforms where mechanical stability, vacuum performance, thermal management, and system integration are critical to achieving state-of-the-art results.

While we support a broad range of scientific applications, our primary focus is on high-performance vacuum and instrumentation solutions for quantum technologies, including trapped-ion systems, ultracold-atom experiments, quantum sensing, and space- or microgravity-based quantum platforms.
